OUR TAKE
Best fit: a business that lets customers start
Sendblue can be considered for a service desk or assistant that receives the customer’s first message. Its public plan boundary becomes a procurement problem when the same team also wants outbound reminders or lead follow-up. Decide the journey before deciding the tier.
Map the conversation, not the feature list
The pricing page lists AI Agent at $100 per dedicated line monthly, with webhooks, callbacks and 1,000 inbound contacts daily. Full outbound appears on custom Enterprise. A workflow can begin inbound and later involve a scheduled business action; get written confirmation of how each step is treated rather than calling the whole account inbound by habit.
A sandbox does not test the desk
The free environment supports up to ten verified contacts and omits webhooks and callbacks. That makes it useful for exploring API calls, but insufficient to demonstrate CRM record updates, assignment notifications and event-driven follow-ups. Include production event access in the test plan and identify which staff members can see or reply to a real thread.
Ask about continuity
Confirm which number the customer sees across channels, whether your chosen CRM connector preserves attachments and how cancellation affects export or number retention. Request security documentation for the relevant account scope if your business requires it. We have not independently verified certification, delivery capacity or the quality of any connector.
The decision in one sentence
Shortlist it for customer-initiated service, then obtain outbound and connector terms for any wider business workflow.
