Managed API / SOURCE-BASED REVIEW

Linq — infrastructure needs a workflow

Linq offers a documented iMessage, RCS and SMS surface alongside other communications channels. It fits a team with engineering resources better than a buyer who only wants to install a CRM plugin and immediately hand a queue to staff.

OUR TAKE

Best fit: a business building its own conversation product

Linq’s breadth is most relevant when a company is designing the customer experience itself. API coverage does not replace the decision about assignment, business hours or human support. Treat the platform as infrastructure for that experience rather than proof the experience is finished.

Which surface are you buying?

Linq’s documentation distinguishes iMessage channels from its Apple Messages business offering and other products. The homepage presents iMessage, RCS, SMS and voice, plus rich media and developer tooling. Clarify whether your quote is for ordinary number-based messaging or a separate branded business channel; they have different customer entry and identity models.

Design the desk around the events

Determine where a reply becomes a customer record and where an operator can stop the assistant. A CRM adapter may need custom engineering to expose assignment and conversation state. Review event correlation and attachment access before agreeing that an integration is complete. The developer sandbox is useful discovery, not a staff acceptance test.

Procurement should include recovery

The reviewed homepage did not establish a numeric production subscription. Request setup, lines, permitted direction and service commitments in a scoped offer. Ask for applicable security evidence and data handling details. Marketing latency and uptime statistics are provider claims here; their business value depends on written commitments and the actual application journey.

The decision in one sentence

Consider Linq for an engineered conversation product when the team can build the desk and the quote matches the intended channel.
